Their story began long before May 2025. In January 2024, the groom reached out to schedule a birthday session for his then girlfriend. Just minutes before the shoot, he let us know it would actually be a proposal. What she thought was a thoughtful birthday gift quickly turned into a surprise engagement. From that moment, the journey toward their wedding day began.
They got married in May 2025, starting the day at the Fairmont Washington, D.C., Georgetown, where both bride and groom got ready surrounded by their closest friends and family.
For their first look, they chose the DC War Memorial in Washington, DC. The quiet, tree-lined setting in the heart of the city created a meaningful and intimate moment. Seeing each other there, more than a year after that surprise proposal, felt especially significant.
Their ceremony and reception took place at Pinstripes – Georgetown, a venue that blends classic style with a modern, playful edge. As a wedding photographer in Washington DC, Maryland and Virginia, we appreciate locations that offer both elegance and personality, and Pinstripes delivered on both.
As the evening unfolded, we stepped into the bowling alley for a few relaxed, fun portraits that reflected their joyful energy. 
Later in the evening, we took a few final photos of just the two of them at the bar. With their drinks in hand, it was a simple, quiet moment together — a calm and intimate way to end the night.
